Papel texturizado / Paste paper

Olá, queridos leitores!
Agora que os dias de verão já não estão tão insuportavelmente quentes, consegui voltar a ser produtiva. Consegui aprender a fazer papel pintado texturizado.
Minha grande inspiração é PrairiePeasant, uma artesã canadense.

Hello dear readers!
Now that the sunny days aren't so horrible anymore, I started to be useful again. I even learnt to make paste paper!
My great inspiration is PrairiePeasant, a Canadian crafter.
Check her beautiful pasted papers in:

Ainda estou aprendendo e eu me divirto bastante pintando estes papeis.
I am still learning and having too much fun painting these papers.

Para tanto uso tintas acrílicas e um preparado de CMC (carboximetilcelulose) diluída em água.
Na foto abaixo, uso um pouco de tinta metalizada pura para dar um efeito perolado ao papel pintado.
I use a mix of achrylic paints and CMC diluted in water.
I the picture below, I use a little of  pure silver paint  in order to get a pearl effect to the pasted paper.

Com a tinta ainda molhada, faço as texturas com o garfo de plástico
With the colored paste still wet, I make the textures with the plastic fork.

  3. I've never heard of this. You are getting wonderful results. Such fun to be able to drag things through the paint to create design and texture.

    1. Dear Sheila, thanks for your comment. It is very precious to me, believe me.
Paste paper is better known by bookbinders and crafters who deal with paper. It is a technique that, when learnt, is easier than marbling and shows more brightful colors.
I am loving paste paper. Now I have tried with watercolor paper that is heavier and I even could make a blankbook with it and teaching this technique to my 9-12 children at Sunday Bible Classes.
      Thanks again!
