Compartilho fotos de minha aventura na região do Distrito dos Lagos, na província de Cumbria, em busca do legado de Beatrix Potter.
Confesso que meu interesse foi despertado quando assisti ao filme Miss Potter, em 2006.

I share pictures of my adventure in Lake District region, in Cumbria, searching for Beatrix Potter's legacy.
I confess that my curiosity about her was awakened when I watched the movie Miss Potter, in 2006.

Saímos cedo de casa para a estação Piccadilly pegar o trem até Preston e de lá fizemos uma baldeação para Windermere. Choveu o dia todo.

We left home early on Saturday to Piccadilly station to take a train to Preston where we took another train to Windermere. It rained all day.

Da estação Windermere pegamos um ônibus para Hawkshead, margeando o lago Windermere. / From Windermere station, we took a bus to Hawkshead, skirting Lake Windermere

Belas paisagens do Distrito dos Lagos / Beautiful landscapes of Lake District

Chegamos à Hawkshead. 
Uma observação: Não conseguimos ir a fazenda Hill Top, casa de Beatrix Potter porque, de Hawkshead ainda teríamos que pegar um outro ônibus até Near Sawrey e esta linha só tem 3 ônibus por dia. Decidimos não arriscar. Até porque já era meio dia quando chegamos a Hawkshead.
We arrived in Hawkshead in noon. 
Unfortunatelly we couldn't reach Hill Top Farm, the house of Beatrix Potter because, from Hawkshead we needed to take another bus to Near Sawrey and there were only 3 buses per day to go there. We decided no taking risks because we have only one day to visit Lake District.

Almoçamos neste lindo restaurante/casa de chá / We had lunch in this beautiful restaurant/tea room.

Depois de visitar a Galeria Beatrix Potter, passamos numa casa de chá muito graciosa.
After visiting Beatrix Potter Gallery we went to a very gracious tea room.
