Hello dear readers!!
I want to share that, after six months teaching my students in New Generation ministry (in my class they are 9-13 years old) we could conclude the building of Moses felt dolls. As I have been teaching the books of Moses, I guessed that it would be interesting try to get the biblical heroe near them making them make the doll. Besides I could teach them some sewing techniques.
I want to acknowledge Jennifer Joshua for influencing this work: her Moses felt doll were its inspiration. Of course that these dolls aren't so beautiful as hers, but for me the better thing is that my students made them.
What a good idea - incorporating an art project with the Bible story. Those children will really remember it now and the fun they had making those dolls.
ResponderExcluirHi Sheila!
ExcluirI think that thanks God, it worked! It is really a plus in my class: teaching Exodus and Leviticus woundn't be easy even for adults, imagine children 9-13 years old! In very vintage drawings and paintings portraiting Moses I see him so severe (well, I imagine that sometimes he needed to be) but I think that making a fluff felt doll made him nearer to the boys.
Thanks for writing, you always cheer me up!!
