Hello dear readers!
September arrived here in Brazil some time ago and with it, hotter and longer days, many blossomed trees and the beginning of Spring.
As you know it, practice makes it perfect, so, one more time I share with you my exercises of the four nobles of Sumi-e, plus the birds and the persimmons. The novelty is that these exercises were made in a concertina book with watercolor paper. As always, the colorful parts were painted with Pestilento handmade watercolors.

Noble 4: The chrisantemum |
I never know quite the best way to use a concertina style sketchbook, but I can see that this is a very good use of one. The chrysanthemum is my favorite!
ResponderExcluirHi Sheila, thanks for writing!
ResponderExcluirYou know that you are my only correspondent, don't you?
I liked to do all of them, but my favorites are the orchid (I love to make the leaves dance!) and the sakura branch with birds (I love blooming sakura and birds)
I saw recently a very interesting way to make and use a concertina book. It is in:

I want to make one like shown in this website one day.
Thanks again!
